Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American author and designer who has received numerous awards for her writing and design. She advocates the rights of animals. Ali MacGraw is well-known for her roles in films like Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. She was raised by an artistic family in New York and wanted to pursue a career in art. Her first job was as an assistant to photographers. Then she moved on to modeling and acting. The first two films she made got noticed and earned her the Golden Globe Award of Most promising newcomer. MacGraw became a household name following the success of her 1970 film Love Story. She was nominated for an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. MacGraw was deemed the top box office star in the globe after just three releases.
